Where it lives
Data is stored in a managed Postgres database operated by our infrastructure provider. Backups are encrypted and retained for a rolling window.
Who can see it
- You. Always.
- A small number of staff with audited access, only when necessary to operate the Service or respond to support requests.
- Sub-processors strictly for hosting, email delivery, and AI inference, under contract.
How we use it
- To operate the Service, answer your questions, and keep your history.
- To evaluate quality, grow the library, and train and fine-tune our own models, the standard practice across consumer AI products.
- To investigate abuse, security incidents, and policy violations.
What we do not do
- We do not run ads against your conversations or use them to build ad targeting profiles about you.
Our rights over the data
Our rights over the data that runs through the Service are broad on purpose. We may use, license, transfer, monetize, or sell the data we collect and any derivatives of it, and we may transfer everything to a successor in interest as part of any merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of the business. The full grant is in our Terms and Privacy Policy.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time, or request deletion through the contact page. As described in our Privacy Policy, de-identified, aggregated, and AI-processed derivatives of your data may be retained after deletion and remain ours.
Sub-processors
A current list of sub-processors is available on request. We notify customers of material changes.
